Sami SARIYILDIZ graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Geological Engineering in 1989. He worked as an engineer, Pipeline Operations Coordinator and Exploration Coordinator in General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs between the years 1994 and 2015. He took part in the petroleum-related legislation studies in the Parliamentary Commission and General Assembly actively. He worked as Head of Petroleum Stocks Department and Head of Exploration and Production Department between the years 2015 and 2018.

Mr. Sarıyıldız, continuing to work as the Head of Petroleum Exploration, Production and Licensing Department at the reorganized General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs, has been serving as Deputy General Manager since 25/02/2020.
